Compassionate Amador

Compassionate Amador is a grass roots effort started by Trinity Episcopal Church in an effort to bring the International Charter for Compassion to Amador County. The platform on which Compassionate Amador joined with the Charter was one of promoting civil discourse in the public arena. Along those lines, the group has hosted and/or co-hosted a variety of public forums over the last four years. Some of these included: The Right to Die, End of Life Choices, Understanding Transgender, A Morning of Hope, and Understanding Islam, among others.

Parishioners and community members are invited to suggest and assist in hosting other topics that allow the public a forum in which challenging topics can be discussed in a safe space that encourages civil discourse.
