Announcements and Upcoming Events

Flowers on the altar this week were given by the Altar Guild.

This week at Trinity we pray, especially, for: Diana & Jesse Wood and Laurel Sunderman.

Feb. 17th, 11am: Memorial service for Rolly Matson at Trinity Church.

Feb. 18th, 9:40am: Bible Study in Jane’s Hall.

Feb. 19th, 4-6pm: Peace Vigil in the sanctuaryA call for an end to gun violence. Please feel free to bring a writing, a reflection, a poem, or any other meaningful sharing you would like. Our tone will be reflective and respectful with time for music, silence, and sharing.

Feb. 22nd, 6pm: Vestry meeting in Jane’s Hall.

Lenten Soup Suppers begin February 21st at 6pm in Jane’s Hall. Sign-up sheets at the back of the church.

Following soup, there will be a study of Anglicanism. As Episcopalians, we are members of the Anglican Communion and our heritage is based in Anglicanism.

The following program titles are tentative.

Feb. 21st is Setting the Stage. This will focus on the past events in Britain that shaped structure, thought, and spirituality that led to the English Reformation. (Hint: Henry VIII did not start the Church of England.)

Feb. 28th is Authority and Method. Elizabeth I set the structure for Anglicanism but it was Richard Hooker who gave it a theology.

Mar. 7th is Anglican standards, Prayer books, The Articles of Religion, Catechisms, Lex Orandi- Lex Credendi, Canon Law.

Mar. 14th is Sacraments and Ministry.

Mar. 21st will be about Anglicanism in Practice: spirituality, morality, sociology, missions, Anglican Communion.

Feb. 24th, 10am: Amador City Hike. Let's hike the Amador City Creek Rd. Meet in the parking lot across from Andrae's Bakery at 10:00 a.m. We will follow the creekside road (easy walking) for 2 to 4 miles. Wear sturdy shoes due to some seasonal wet crossings. Afterwards, we can stop at Andrae's Bakery for some well-deserved treats!  Questions? Contact Anne-Marie Reber.

Feb. 25th: Coffee hour following both the 8:30 and 10:30am services.
